You might remember I gave away three double passes to the brand new Melbourne musical Sexercise – the Musical, back in January.
I don’t usually recommend something without having tried it first but this just sounded so good I was willing to get behind it anyway.
BUT quality control and all, I figured I’d do a follow up and check that it really was as good as it sounded…
So I interviewed my sister, who was lucky enough to go along last week.
Sisterly quality control check – Sexercise: the Musical
So sis, what did you think?
The musical was absolutely hilarious and we had an absolute ball from start to finish.
The music was very catchy, you just wanted to get up and dance and sing along.
What was it about?
It was about a couple who were in a bit of a rut so they went to a couples counsellor. The counsellor was a bit eccentric and suggested doing sexercise. They needed time for exercise but they didn’t make time for their sex life, so they combined both and made sexercise.
Riiight, clever. I can see how that would definitely catch on. So would you see it again?
Yes, absolutely, I would really love to see it again.
Would you tell other people to go?
Oh yes, I would tell everyone I know to go. I already have!
Most importantly, was it fun having a night without bubs?
It was AMAZING. We had dinner before the show. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, we had our pick of the bunch.
We had dessert at the theatre – a Magnum, yum. The Alex Theatre was beautiful and the seats were comfy.
And how did you get there? It’s in St Kilda, yes?
We drove. Parking was free and we didn’t have much problem finding a spot.
So there you have it, it’s awesome and worth the trip into St Kilda. Sis’ says so.
Hope to see you at this Melbourne-made musical some night soon:-)
