One of the many things I adore about blogging is the amazing experiences it brings to my digital doorstep. Behind my doorstep I harbour two small sons who also love having amazing experiences. Lucky for them, I share the amazing experiences around.
Son #2 turned 4 years old a few weeks ago. I never kept a baby book for either of my boys. I was given 3 ready-made baby books to slot photos and memories into. They’re all in mint condition. They’re all empty.
I do, however, have this blog – full of stories and photos.
Over the past 3 years I’ve documented stories of Son #2 teething, rupturing his eardrums, being interviewed by Channel 10 news, requiring lullaby renditions of Wheels on the Bus and leaving random toy trains around the house.
Mr Almost-4 decided he was ‘all grown up now’ and was quite adamant about having fire engines and dinosaurs at his 4th birthday party. With Jurassic fire fighters of course… and maybe some chips.
You might remember Mr Einstein showing up at Mr 6’s birthday party a few months back, thanks to Waggle Dance.
We loved it so much we invited them back again for Mr 4’s birthday, this time for a Stepping Stones of Fun Drama Games party.
The wonderful thing about having Waggle Dance come to your house is that they tailor each experience specifically to the guest of honour’s interests.
Fire breaks out in the Cretaceous period requiring Triceratops and Velociraptors to nee-naw nee-naw over and save the day with their amazing fire engine full of red hot lava?
Sure, no problem. Inspirations of imagination is what it’s all about, after all.
Speaking of amazing experiences which float my way thanks to this little ol’ blog, I got an email the other day inviting me to try out Shoebox – a new photo/video platform where you can store and share your photos and videos and make really cool movies out of them.
It took me just a few minutes to upload a dozen or so pictures from Mr 4’s birthday party and make a movie for you. I hope you enjoy it!
A huge thanks to the wonderful Izolde Bensch, founder of Waggle Dance, for taking the fabulous photos in this video. Photography is not one of my talents!
